Check-in to Hotel Transylvania in 3D!

Welcome to Hotel Transylvania! *Blah-blah-blah!* In 3D! *Blah-blah-blah!* No, it's not a blah movie.. Try reading that again in Count Dracula's voice. Much better! Hotel Transylvania is an animated family comedy centered on over-protective daddy Dracula who builds a hotel to shelter his daughter and monsters alike from us awfully scary human beings. Talk about getting a taste of your own medicine. Do we check out from Hotel Transylvania pleased with our 3D stay, or do we want our money back?

Suited for 3D? (what does this mean?)
We are talking about a vibrant young human boy who assimilates and shakes things up in a hotel full of monsters with various characteristics and abilities, not to mention a fear of human beings. Lots of fun action sequences that make the 3D experience worthwhile having!

Score: 5/5

Filmed for 3D? (what does this mean?)
The movie was definitely planned to maximize the 3D element such that it enhances the movie going experience without compromising on the story at all. Definitely a top-notch effort!

Score: 5/5

Closed Window Experience (what does this mean?)
The closed window experience was extremely good. There was a great feel of depth throughout the entire movie without causing any distraction or nausea. The depth was well balanced in each scene, making for an immersive experience as the audience follow the story.

Score: 5/5

Open Window Experience (what does this mean?)
The open window experience was not at its peak. There were a lot of scenes that came close to, but failed to cross the barrier of the screen. This could once again be due to the subtitles, but this wasn't the highlight of the 3D as the closed window experience steals the show, bringing you on an unforgettable journey!

Score: 2/5

The Naked-Eye Test (what does this mean?)
There were a few scenes that didn't seem to require the 3D glasses as they made very little difference to the image and depth onscreen. Apart from these few scenes, you will need your 3D glasses lest you want to spend an eternity of blurness during the movie.

Score: 4/5

Final Score: 21/25
